Do you sometime notice that your skyline just isn't tall enough? Do you want to see real world skyscrapers without them being distorted? Fear not! For I have found a technique to bypass something which has limited OpenTTD skyscraper object heights for more than 20 years...

By splitting a normally bounding-box breaking sprite into pieces, and making those pieces individual, stackable buildings, We can achieve heights normally impossible for a standard asset! [figure 1] The number of pieces that make up these buildings can be as many needed, though I will likely be doing a majority of 2 piece towers, with a few 3 piece towers and even some further advanced buildings. Alltogether, this set will ( Some day ) include...

- 20] semi-MMS buildings (Where the extra piece may be a roof or antenna, resulting in a slightly taller than average building.)
- 50] 2-piece (Double) MMS buildings
- 10] 3-piece (Triple) MMS buildings
- 4] 4-piece (Quad) MMS buildings

Altogether, there will be 84 Unique MMS buildings in this set!

Currently, I have made only a few double MMS towers [ figure 2 ], but It's good progress for now, and I will not stop drawing until my goals are met. There are some technical difficulties and bugs (As to be expected from this experimental tech ), such as...
- Some buildings may pop up "Infront" of the upper piece
- These assets are impossible to convert to town buildings, because of their unique placement structure.
- Upper piece may get in the way of roads and such

But apart from these, they work very well in large cities, and I'm surprised nothing has been attempted earlier. I will also use MMS buildings in my up and coming SC4 asset pack. Anyhow, Feel free to give some tower ideas which I (May) be able to draw. cheers :D .

Do I understand correctly that there is a 5 tile gap between the base and the top of this building? That's enough to fit a whole airport.

I guess these objects will be popular in the screenshot competition, but in a real game they would just confuse players.

Yep, you can fit quite a bit in the gap, So it's good for landmarks and such.

I guess so, but the point of these objects are for decorative skylines and eyecandy, definitely not for any real purpose. I just think they're neat :D

By the way, can you make a building with a hole in it? It would allow placing a station as if it were inside the building, like the Liziba station in Chongqing.

Maybe, though I'm not sure how it would work with MMS, nor if it would fit. There's a few skyscrapers that are part of stations in sets like Dutch stations or HSS, if you're interested. :D

I apologize for the lack of progress, but here's some new towers, included are the 400 West market from Kentucky and the Williams tower from Texas, as well as some random towers that do not exist IRL. enjoy :D

More skyscrapers, Here with more modern towers. Also, I've canceled the idea of the "custom height" MMS buildings, instead, I will have ten more Double-MMS towers as compensation. enjoy.

Would love to see One WTC or Shanghai WFC in this at full scale. You've made some VERY impressive work here, thank you!

I plan both for the tri-MMS stage, as well as some other towers such as the old WTC towers, Q1 and Australian towers, Quite a few tall Chinese buildings and even some visionary structures for the tallest buildings :D

I apologize for the slow progress, though I've managed to create another 4 MMS buildings, two of which are real world: being the Sky Tower from Poland, and Gateway Plaza from Sydney :D . More news, Fridaemon pitched me the idea of releasing a "Stubby" set alongside the main MMS set, for those who just want some small skyscrapers and not so much the gigantic towers I plan. I will likely do this so that you can get a choice between the larger and smaller variants. Enjoy

More buildings! I chose to go with an "Aging" theme, I might do some postmodern and early 2000's esque buildings next, just to add some diversity to skylines. Also, a showcase of some of the "Stubby" variants that fridaemon has happily made me a showcase of (A great thanks to her :D ). Enjoy.

Again, thank you.

Hearing "Sky Tower" makes me think of the Sky City 1000 arcology proposal... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_City_1000

Another 4 MMS towers, this time I took inspiration from the numerous Modern developments of the world. Also, I've decided to merge the "Semi-MMS" and "Double-MMS" categories into the latter, just for easier sorting (So that's 70 double-MMS towers). Enjoy :D

Another round of buildings! Decided to go for a 80's and 90's architectural theme with these buildings, could do well in a city similar to Los Angeles or Houston. I'll do some modern towers like the ones you'd see in NY next :D . Enjoy.

Another day, another fresh batch of skyscrapers  . Doing some more "generic" style towers for larger suburbs and small cities. I'll see if I can explore some more unique shapes for the towers next ( I do want some more 3x3 and 2x3/3x2 MMS buildings ). Cheers :D

Another group of buildings (Now i count more than 50 buildings!!) , for those weirdly shaped spaces in cities where a 2x2 MMS won't fit. I think I'll do a few more 2x3/3x2 buildings, maybe a couple more 1x1 MMS? Anyhow, hope yall enjoy. Cheers :D
