[32bpp EZ] GETS: Alpine Addon 0.1
Crocodiles, Railjets and Pendolinos!
After 2,5 years of doing german trains, the GETS-team was in serious need of something different. Eventually we decided to give Germanys southern neighbours a visit.
GETS AlpineAddon covers Austrian and Swiss trains in GETS-scale and artstyle.
This .grf features autoconsist-coaches: Buy a certain amount of the same coach and Cab cars, restaurants and special coaches will automatically be added (Works only with certain locomotives).
Please be aware this is an add-on: You most likely won't be able to play a complete game without loading another trainset.

Re: [32bpp EZ] GETS: Alpine Addon 0.1
Very nice and a perfect match for the large Swiss scenario I currently play, which also includes parts of Germany, Austria, Italy, and FranceGarlic_Bread42 wrote: 01 Apr 2024 18:13 After 2,5 years of doing german trains, the GETS-team was in serious need of something different. I just noticed that the steam engines of the KFNB ("Kaiser Ferdinands-Nordbahn") look much smaller than later locos, like the ÖBB class 1020 "Austrian Crocodile". Of course, engines got much bigger over time but the mid-18th century steam locos look so tiny compared to the later ones that I wonder if they are indeed of the same scale?!?
Any chance to also have some FS locos included?!? They are very distinct in style+color and cannot easily be replaced by some closely related ones of other countries.

Re: [32bpp EZ] GETS: Alpine Addon 0.1
Really glad you like it! Hope you have lots of fun with your game.
If you further compare the Austria to the KPEV P 3.1 engine, latter with a length of ~15m, they're just 1/8 length away from each other.
Concerning the FS locos: Sadly it's a no. We've started with a focus of AT and CH, and we'd like to keep it kinda focussed on that one.
Actually, the KFNB-engines are even a bit taller than they should be. KFNB Austria had a length of only 8,9 m (with tender). In comparison, a "Donnerbüchse"-Coach is 13,9m long.ebla71 wrote: 01 Apr 2024 23:51 I just noticed that the steam engines of the KFNB ("Kaiser Ferdinands-Nordbahn") look much smaller than later locos

Thanks for the sets of trains of Austrian and Swiss railways.
It's great!
It's great!

Re: [32bpp EZ] GETS: Alpine Addon 0.1
This is a spectacular set, an instant favorite together with the regular GETS! Thank you!
I noticed a bug in one of the FLIRT 3 variants: the 3-part Thurbo version has the weight and purchase cost of the 6-part TILO unit, making it far more expensive than the 4-part SBB version. Could you look into that, please? Many thanks in advance and keep up the amazing work!

The Gets Alpine Addon is a great addition, and I also appreciate the well-usable locomotives that are available from a very early date.

Re: [32bpp EZ] GETS: Alpine Addon 0.2
The Alpine-Addon received an update for Christmas
We've added a bunch of new beautiful Swiss and Austrian trains for you to ride around your Christmas Tree
Austria receives the Hercules Diesel aswell as the Schlierenwagen and some more KFNB early Steam stuff.
For Switzerland we've added a whole collection of "Seetalbahn" stock. Make sure to check the platform coaches - they've got opening windows.
Some more Diesel Shunters, a few more Vectrons and the Ae 6/6 "Kantonslok" complete the range of Swiss traction.
We've also added the IR 200 double-deck Express train set.
Promise: This is more reliable in OpenTTD than it ever was in real life. Some more Stadler KISS and the Domino should provide for a nice range of EMU's.
See the full range of changes down here: As always: We're all happy for feedback and criticism. Also a huge thanks to those who constantly play and report bugs with our creations!
Merry Christmas
