as the subject says, is there a way to download mods from owen's locomotion depot without using a .exe? i dont want to run the risk of getting my computer infected.

None of the mods on there have any viruses, this forum is hosted by the same person as the Locomotion Depot.
AFAIK the classic mods need no EXE to install. Plus, there are hundreds of other mod pages out there, I'd suggest checking out Walter1940's page here:
