Thanks for this set, it's great.
I just had a question regarding some of the DVT models. How are they ideally set up to use?
I notice there will be an engine with 0kw/1kn etc which usually has 80 pax for example. Then it will have a matching middle carriage and sometimes a matching end carriage.
Take the red 2nd gen db1 bi-level or whatever it's called as example.
Are these supposed to be given any old engine/loco to pull them? If so, why do they come as a nice set? And why is the front carriage in the loco section instead of carriage section? What's significance of a loco that has no power or tractive effort? How is it supposed to be used?
Thanks again.
Hi,

DVT's are kind of fake in this set. OpenTTD has no real way to do a push-pull consist, so we decided to have the DVT's as loco's, too. The first item in a consist always has to be an engine (needs power), so you just go and put a "real" locomotive at the other end.
DVT.png
DVT.png (163.71 KiB) Viewed 3236 times
So the upper consist is Loco-Coach-Coach-Coach-DVT (from Coach menu)
the lower consist is DVT(from Loco menu)-Coach-Coach-Coach-Loco.

Hope this explains the way it works.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Ah so its just fake. So you use it however you want depending if you want the DVT at front or back or even both, with loco in middle, according to personal taste. Thanks.

Also, is there a way to enable base set monorail and maglev alongside this train set? I tried Opengfx+ Trains, which sort of works, but only enables the 8bpp opengfx set, not the 32bpp zbase set. Any ideas? Cheers.

Choose from other 32Bpp sets
https://bananas.openttd.org/package/new ... ette=32bpp
Or, as another solution, there are other graphics that only modify the original cars and allow you to keep them in the game.
For example, Default set Extension. Although it adds extra trains that are not in high definition, it keeps the basic ones.

The last available version of OpenGFX+ trains (https://bundles.openttdcoop.org/ogfx-tr ... es/LATEST/) has 32bpp monorail locomotives, and JRD EU train set 32bpp has 3 maglev engines.

Oh, sweet - the ICE L! Looking forward to it. Do you also have any plans for the Bombardier IC2, Stadler IC2 (DB's second-hand Stadler KISS for 200 km/h that they purchased from Westbahn), ICE 4, Metropolitan, Skoda MüNüX doubledecker highspeed RE, and the 5-car version of the FLIRT 2 (DB 429 from Rostock)?

Looks great.
I've been running this set as my standard train set for a while now. Love it.

GETS 0.3 is here!

This time we decided to go for Multi-Voltage enginges:
From now on all "standard" electric engines are done for 15KV-Overhead lines, all multi-voltage engines (like the class 181/184 etc) will go on anything that has wires.
This should be savegame-compatible, although i won't guarantee it. This feature has been tested against most popular tracksets - if you encounter any malfunction please leave a note or drop a PM.

Besides that, we're faster than the original with the IC-Talgo, some more and reworked Bi-Level coaches, a "Schienenbus" railcar, and more:

Nice work, as usual - but are you sure the version numbering is correct?

I just downloaded the update from BaNaNas and the filename is ...-0.3.tar but in the game itself, it identifies as GETS 0.2.2 ?!?

Worked fine for me a couple of hours ago - maybe most of Europe now heading towards the weekend and downloading new game content

But it is a very big package and needs quite some time - just be patient or try again later.

I thought the same thing, I'll download it after the weekend and now I'll try the new version of the SUV, where interesting early German cars have been added. :)

It would be utterly helpful if you would dive a bit more into detail. "Train is red" is not a useful description for a bug.
Please describe more detailled what you've done and what the result is.
Also, please provide a screenshot of what you see.

Thanks.

Look there is no flix train or Ice which one you newly added or engines which change livery automatically like I purchased 10 BR182 or Db br183 but they do not change livery. Now if we talk about passenger coaches all newly added coaches are missing.

I honestly don't know what your problem is. I can see BR 182, Br 183 and E 19 in your screenshot.
For the different livery schemes, you just click the plus on the left side to enter variants-menu.

Super cool!! Great work.
Are you planning on making a rail set for these? Or am I being less than smart, and there already is?
If not, what rail set would you recommend for the best experience with these? I use CZTR and it's pretty good (although with some slow speeds until late game)
Well done once again, these are sick! 8)
