Fatal Error

Hi,
My version of TTDP has developed a fault which dumps me to desktop (XP). This occurred in 2.0 rev 1 which I had been using quite happily, but also kept occurring when I switched to 2.0.1 Alpha 29.
I hadn't changed anything recently in the cfg file to cause this. But since it's occurred i've tried a few fixes from this forum, including switching off eternal time, showspeed etc, all of which didn't work.
The game crashes on 12th March 2070.
Anyone got any ideas what's going wrong?
Cheers.

remember to change:
forcerebuildovl off
to ON
(as for the game I got 2096 year

... I waited till March and yes it crashed, if the game is old then it may be corrupted ... you will have to wait for TTDPatch Developer answer though)

Thanks for the response.
Yeah, had it recompile the ovl, but none of the changes made a difference.
2096 was the fateful year that it went wrong before I turned off eternaltime

.
The autosave file of that game also crashes at that point, although I don't know how these files may have been corrupted (if thats whats wrong).

There seems to be an aircraft with corrupt data in the savegame. I can't say which one it is though, and getting rid of it won't be easy
PS: Did you send me an email too? Just to know whether I need to answer that as well...

Patchman: Yes, I did.
Thanks for the info. Ah well, if I have to scrap every aircraft so be it

Just hope I can do it in three months.
Thanks again.

Patchman: I tried scrapping all the aircraft I owned: same problem. Then I looked at the only other aircraft in the game.
It's a Yate-Z Shuttle belonging to Danley Transport (Dark Blue AI). Thing is, it isn't behaving like an aircraft. I've managing the company and building an airport, it wont respond to orders to go to an airport or go to a hanger; same thing happens if I buy the company out.
The game actually crashes when the aircraft reaches the north corner of the map. A botched solution is therefore to just stop the 'aircraft' mid-air. But this means the helicopter of death may resume its journey if another AI takes over it.
This'll teach me for being sadistic and delting AI airports.
Is there any way you know of of removing this aircraft from the game, either in the game or in code?

Rebuild the airport you destroyed, and it will find its way there.
