Any bugs you notice, things that could be fixed, or ideas for improving NewGRF (Translations welcome!) are best posted in this thread, or in a private message to me. This is my first NewGRF, I would be grateful for any feedback :D

The lighthouses are, of course, added to the game as eyecandy objects.
All lighthouses are made to the same scale.
The years of availability coincide with the original years of construction.
The lights of the lighthouses in the game are programmed as in the real world (as far as it is possible for me and in OpenTTD).

I'm so happy you like it :D !
In the near future I will focus on pAter's comments about Świnoujście and Kołobrzeg (1st and 4th lighthouses), and draw the lighthouses I don't have in the set yet. Later, I'll draw more views of the current lighthouses, and then also their "old looks", at which time I'll finish coding the (parameter-enabled) automatic rebuilding of the lighthouses according to real rebuildings dates :)
I will describe all the updates here :D

Yes, that's right, I finally made those few planned changes, and am updating NewGRF to version 0.1.0 :D

Additional explanation: In the current version there is no lighthouse from Świnoujście in the previous version of view. Version 0.1 implies a minimum, i.e. one, south-western, view of each existing lighthouse, plus the "bliza" available from the Middle Ages. (I don't know the right word for "bliza" in English. Auf Deutsch heißt es "Feuerblüse" :) ). For more views, you have to wait for version 0.2 (translations would also be welcome)! :)

And this is how the drawing of the Gdańsk lighthouse looked  :

It seems that some of the lighthouses have wrong perspective, especially the fourth one from the left. Could you make some screenshots of those lighthouses placed next to some town buildings?

Oh... Yes, that's right, it should be seen from more above  . This is especially true for the "rounder" lanterns, the "squarer" ones have a better perspective.
Thanks for pointing it out, I'll try to take some screenshots soon. (And some fixes) :) !

Here you can see the original lighthouse near the buildings:

Here after corrections (these were not corrections but re-drawings):

Here again after, but moved a little further away from the buildings:

I will soon try to fix the other lighthouses that need it. I'm not 100% happy with the result on this one yet, I'll be working on it too. Thanks for the suggestion on what's wrong, I knew my lanterns didn't quite match the buildings, but I didn't know what was up... :) I'm just learning ;)

The corrected perspective looks much better. Good job!

However, the rim of the inner wall looks cusped in the front and back. Is it intended to have such shape?

I don't know which spot on the lighthouse you are referring to, could you mark it on the drawing?

The edge of the inner wall looks like its height varies along its circumference.

I have remade that, and now it looks much better (and I made the 90 deg rotated view):

Version 1.0.0 1.0.1 available on Bananas!

Thanks to LaChupacabra!

The latest version got the number 1, because I managed to get rid of the "surprise boxes", i.e. objects that I planned to add as soon as possible. There were also a few new objects and other changes not previously planned. The whole list of new features below:

New objects
There are six completely new lighthouses in the set: 3 from Poland, and 3 from other countries. Perhaps in the future the set will evolve into "Baltic Lighthouses" .
New objects:

Image

On the bottom: Polish lighthouses:
  • New lighthouse from Rozewie (Rozewie II)
  • Lighthouse from Sopot
  • Gdańsk New Port lighthouse
On the top: Other Baltic lighthouses:
  • The lighthouse from Rønne (Bornholm, Denmark)
  • Lighthouse from Dueodde (Bornholm, Denmark)
  • Lighthouse from Baltiysk (Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia Královecký Kraj, Czech Republic )
Improved animations
All the lighthouses received new and improved light animations.
It is worth knowing that the light does not actually rotate in all lighthouses. In some of them it simply turns on and off. To the best of my abilities (and the availability of information on the subject on the Internet), I programmed the lighthouses as they are in reality.

Example animation of a rotating light (Jarosławiec):
Image

Example animation of 'flashing' light (Czołpino):
Image

A special animation is added in the Gdansk Nowy Port lighthouse :D .

New views of objects
I prepared a few views each for some objects.

One of these lighthouses was Jastarnia: I drew an alternate version, slightly larger than according to scale, because the current one (as pointed out to me by LaChupacabra) was poorer fit with other objects in the game. I also added a version with a hill:
Image

Before lighthouses were built, ships' paths were illuminated by fires lighted on the seashore. The set included one blüse, now there are more:

Corrections in the current drawings
Several of the current drawings needed corrections. The most important were:
  • "calming" the wall color of the lighthouse from Swinoujscie (according to LaChupacabra's idea),
  • modification of the top part of the lighthouse from Stilo,
  • reducing the contrast of parts of the lighthouse from Niechorze,
  • corrections of the the top part and perspective in the lighthouse from Hel.
New parameters
As a result of the changes listed above, I made several new parameters.

The list became chaotic and difficult to understand, which I corrected in version 1.0.1.

The current list of parameters looks like this:

(Updated descriptions of the parameters are available in the game, after downloading the NewGRF ;) )

A new version of the set has been released on Bananas: 1.0.2.
There are mainly minor and/or technical changes from the previous version AND I have added a new object: the Stawa Młyny beacon, visible in the screenshot above.
The full list of changes can be found on GitHub.
