Very often the banner ads at the top of the page are loaded as double-height ones, but the initial page layout only makes space for a single-height banner.
This causes the page content to jump when the banner loads, making it annoying to browse back and forth, since a link light jump away from under your cursor.

Would it be possible to either make it so the page loads with the correct space reserved ahead of time, or prevent using double-height banners?

I'm not certain if I can do the latter any more (you used to get a lot more control over this sort of thing). I'll see if there's anything I can change to make the experience better.
