Hi guys,
I searched in the forum but only find old links/scripts.
I have a Server running with version 1.8.0 and want to update this but all the threads I found in the forum for "auto updater" are outdated.
Can anybody tell me how to update the server?
UPDATE:
Got I working now

Have you tried just upgrading the openttd package in your system? Assuming your system has a package manager and the openttd package is available for your distribution.

Please don't take this the wrong way but if you want operate a server on the internet, you should at least know some basics of how your operating system works, how to keep it updated, how to secure access to it, how to set up a firewall - things like that. Otherwise, you're putting your users at risk, and your server could be exploited by third parties.
There are many good books on these topics, and if you live near a decent library it probably has some of them. And some basic sysadmin skills are always useful to have.

Which distribution of Linux are you using, and how did you install it to start with?
