Can you add grf files to OTTD in Macintosh?

AFAIK you need canalsw.grf, signalsw.grf, openttd.grf and tr*.grf (from the TTD) to even run OTTD. Any other GRFs are not supported at the moment.

Yes they are, some sets work with a patch made by pasky:

But you have to apply the patch to the sourcecode, and therefore you will have to compile the game.

Edit: jacke posted before me :lol:
I don't think there has been any updates to the GRF support since it got merged with the SVN, so it should work without patching anything, AFAIK.

Well, I don't know about the mac version, but I would suspect it's the same as on windows. It does support GRF files, as long as they are not too advanced (dbset etc), so newships works fine for example. Just add this to your openttd.cfg file, and place the grf file in your data directory.

Code: Select all

[newgrf]
0 = newshipsw.grf

The patch executables that replace things such as heliports, bridges, stations, etc. also work but unfotunately they are Windows exe's.
