Change city label color if they hate me

So we've all been there: we've laid a nice tramway track all across a city, then we try to build some stops, and the city tells us that we can go stick our trams into a deep-level tube tunnel.

I think it would be nice to have some indication of if a city will actually allow you to build on their territory, for example by changing the color of the city's nameplate / label / however you want to call it. That would also mean that, if I am waiting for a city coucil to finally forgive me for my sins, I wouldn't have to go through three levels of menus and try to build a station just in order to check.

Is that something that would be doable?

You're in luck! This is a feature of JGR’s Patchpack.

As per 2TallTyler.
It has four levels and updates as you build infrastructure (ie. bus stops etc.)
The level are (like to dislike) Green, Yellow, Orange, Red.

Well, aren't you a very smart person, telling me something that I explicitly mentioned in my original post.

The fact that I can find an information by clicking through several menus and dialogs does not mean that this part of the UX design could not be improved upon. The fact that a patch for this already exists proves that I am not the only one who thinks so.

(Also, I understand half of cour comment at best.)
