Airport catchment area / vehicle cloning

Been playing this game since release back in the 90s, Open TTD has improved it out of sight, but just a couple of things, Sydney Australia has a population of around 4-5 million, 1 airport services it, can this be done in this game? ! airport services 1 town, no catchment areas. And #2 is clones are made by single click ie click on clone button, click on vehicle, repeat...... a button, say "x5" for 5 at a time could be implemented to bypass tedious cloning. 1 airport per town:
Make use of transfer orders. People take transport to the airport and don't walk there. Thus establish bus, tram and rail services which simply transfer passengers to the airport - and then fly them to remote stations. You can in principle attach other stations to the airport via ctrl+click and thus extend it's area of direct influence.
cloning:
choose clone and click or ctrl+click on the vehicle you want to clone as often as you need it cloned (ctrl+click makes it a shared schedule of the vehicles, while simple click makes it a separate set of orders). So... one click per vehicle to clone doesn't sound too much to me. I rarely want more than 20x the same vehicle cloned
