There was the time when JGRPP had a bug which could cause road vehicles to fly off the end of bridges...

So I just remembered the ultimate "cursed" OpenTTD experience.

Long ago, when I had just discovered the game, I brought it to school on a USB drive so I could play on the school computers. One day I unplugged the drive while the game was still running on it, and it didn't crash immediately - instead it started replacing every sprite with whichever one it had last loaded.

Imagine forests of signals. Or a locomotive landing on a runway, sideways. That kidn of stuff

However I can't reproduce it with modern OTTD as it results in an immediate error. So I'll have to use period appropriate hardware and software. Fortunately I still have a Windows XP computer and my old USB drive from 2007 loaded with OpenTTD 0.5.0 so I'll give it a go sometime

That actually looks quite a nice error, could have used it to make parked buses road side.

Except it also made the bridge unusable and unremovable. We have newobjects for that ;)

There's not really much more... a few images and a patch against SVN r11060, thus a revision which is about 12 years old. (just browse the directory from the link) And... it was never taken further as far as I know.

 Hah! These are great! Also as first posts RandomGuy2200! :D
I love it when (semi-)unrealistic things happen if the game glitches out or due to good photoshopping.

Looking forward to see more!
