When you create a post, right about the edit field there's a list of buttons (B, I, etc). All the way to the right is one that says [YOU TUBE]. Click that one and it will insert the BBCode, and then you paste your URL between the [YOU TUBE] and [/YOU TUBE] tags. The URL must be the regular one with youtube.com in the URL, not the shortened youtu.be version.

With that said, the embedded video cannot be seen at full screen and is missing many of the controls. I prefer to use the tag so that it can be easily seen on the forums, as well as post the link so that people can visit the larger version (especially helpful if you're on mobile).
