The last four or five nights I have downloaded the nightly build and keep getting a error.

Assertion failed
File:.\gfx.c
Line: 1345

Expression: bp.height > 0

When I press thr retry button it goes to the submit error window. I cannot submit the error as it crashes, but this is what it says.

It is a cheat :).
You can still use it if you want, it has not been removed.

On another note: I have finally said goodbye to cruel old Windows. I will setup the machine at work to keep producing the nightly builds, and maybe find some machine to check windows compatible code.
But I am so fed up with this $#$%$@# OS that I fear for my sanity if I keep using it any longer.

This change will most likely not have any impact for you windows users. Altough most likely, there will be no nightly build today. I hope to have it back on Friday.

Move it to the topic #9558, please
http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=9558
Or move the whole topic 9558 and a poll to topic 9559. Because they are two topics about the same thing

hi! it looks like the whole thing is upside down (i mean openttd.com is dead)

in a week or so i'll be having a little more time, and i wanted to know if you are needing some help

i haven't coded for a couple of years now, but i used to code in asm and c.

i think i'll feel comfortable with the bitfields.

if you like me, i'll be joining next week or so.

you can give me some bugs and i try to fix them so you see how i code and i get more in touch with the sources. and then, if you like what i do, ...well you know, i could help you.

oh yes, and i've been playing tt since 1995 :D and i can't bleieve there is this openttd

You'd better believe it. Two years of dedicated reverse engineering, and porting to C, certainly haven't gone to waste ;)

There is a backup svn repository, but no word on if (rather than when) the openttd.com site will be back up. There's probably some details around in the OpenTTD Development section that might prove useful.

openttd.com is still down. We are in the process of getting back the hostname and hosting it somewhere else. Expect the website back up in a short while.

I just downloaded the latest MacOS Nightlybuild (31st of 8th), and in the revisionlog it says for the 27th "newgrf works again". But neither with the 27th Nightly nor now it seems to work. How come?

Please don't spam!

You need everything that you would nee for windows. If it is just running the binary, you need the .grf files and sample.cat in the data directory, as well as all the grf files (and opntitle.dat) in the nightly build data folder. You also need at least english.lng in the lang folder.

And just run the binary.
