Mail and Armored cars disappearing from selection

Trying to set up new train, but mail and/or armored cars aren't in the list to buy them. They were there before, but they just "disappeared". Year around 1967 or so, version 1.6.1. Is this a "bug" or is there some "trick" I'm missing?

Are you using any NewGRFs or similar? Please provide a screenshot. The original mail van and armoured van should not have an expiry date at all, so should always be available.

Agreed- they always have been before. And I've played many games. No special GRF, mods, etc.- just a pure vanilla game.
Started another game (1945) and they're there. Guess it was just a fluke. If it happens to this game also, I'll update this thread.

If it happens again, please post the game. It is very hard to diagnose a problem without any information beyond "it doesn't work".
A save game will definitely provide all information, since it contains everything.

The game is saved, but not sure how to "post the game".
Anyway, here's some screenshots, such as they are. I tried resizing the last one to 640X480- sorry it's so small:

As you can see, mail cars aren't listed.

That's a shot of the bottom of the list. It ends at "steel car".

Upload the .sav file to the forums, just like you would an image.

The screenshot looks like Windows 10, so you should be able to find the .sav file in My Documents\openttd\save folder.

There's a button in the purchase window, named "Show hidden". What happens when you click it?

Ah ha!
If I click on the "Show Hidden" button, Mail and Armored cars show up, but faded and a ("Hidden") note behind it. Ctrl-clicking on each one "unhides" it. I've never touched that upper section before, but I must have done something along the way. (Hummm, wonder why just the mail & armor cars were "hidden"? Nevermind....)
Anyway, a big Thank You to all of you and maybe this also helped others.

The "Hide" button is at the bottom, next to "Buy".
