Marked as SOLVED. Solution: Horse carriages are articulated vehicles and as such require a roadside bus stop.
So, I remember having played a bit of OTTD in the past, then after a long time realized I needed it again. I hastily threw in some NewGRFs to be able to play pre-1900 stuff and build my company up from the ground. I set up a train connection between two industries with an old-ass train and that works. Then I built a road between two towns, built two stations and a depot, bought a horse carriage and it can't find the station.
So this seems to be a mod issue. Could someone help me out on what to do here? Screenshot attached to show that the road is complete and the station is facing the road. Am I missing NewGRF stuff? Do they conflict or something? I don't even know which of them has the horse vehicles for testing. I just slapped them on based on suggestions I found with a quick search.
NewGRFs:
Vehicle in question: "2 Horse Passenger Carriage"
Year: 1841
Station in question: Standard Bus Stop
Road: Standard Road
Suggestions are welcome. Cheers, fellas.

Re: Horse Carriage (Passenger) can't get to bus station
The horse carriages cannot go to terminal stations. You need to use drive-through stations for them as for all articulated road vehicles.
The error message could need improvement.

Thanks a lot, fella. Yes, I had no clue and the error message really just implies that the path is the problem. Are there other articulated vehicles apart from horse carriages? Longer buses or something?
Re: Horse Carriage (Passenger) can't get to bus station
There are several grfs with articulated vehicles. The eGRVTS2, which includes the horse carriages, introduces articulated trucks and buses around 1950. I always build truck stations this way, with one or two loading areas depending on the traffic:Ganymed wrote:Thanks a lot, fella.
