ttdloadw causes crash in kernel32.dll

I'm getting the following error message when I exit TTD:

Ttdloadw hs caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL. Ttdloadw will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.

It doesn't seem to cause any harm, the game works OK before this point, and it doesn't hurt the computer. But it's odd anyway.

I'm using Windows TTD, and most-recent-alpha. I did a search in the forums and didn't find anything real useful, so I thought I'd mention it.

have you tried:
- deleting ttdloadw.ovl ttdpttxt.dat
- restoring ttdpatch.cfg to TTD's deafults
- turning off all other programs especially anti-viruses
- are you sure there are no viruses on your PC

Which OS? If you use dxmci.dll with Win9x/Me this can happen...

Also, does it make a crash*.txt file, or do you otherwise have more information about the crash location etc.?

Aha, I didn't think it was a real crash, so I forgot to look for a crashlog. Here it is.

And this one's Windows ME, with the dxmci.dll file. So that doesn't work with WinME?

There is a known unknown problem in dxmci.dll that so far only appeared in a few installations of Win98. Perhaps WinME is affected too.

It's harmless but annoying. I was unable to fix it.

Yes, it is harmless. Don't sweat it.
