Changing gradual load
I know to change gradual load of vehicles you go to stations in the settings. however i don't seem to have the option. I downloaded the game a few days ago and i've searched through all the settings to see if i've missed something but still can't see it. has this option been done away with?
I feel like a pig shat in my head!!!
Re: Changing gradual load
Maybe that option doesn't have an entry in the settings window. You can change it in your openttd.cfg file, or use the game console (hit the ~ key in the game) and use this command to change the setting
Code: Select all
set gradual_loading 0

Make sure you have enabled the appropriate level of config options ("basic" won't suffice). you can also make use of the search bar in the settings window in order to search for 'gradual'

Re: Changing gradual load
I don't think that entry in the settings window exists in the version 1.5.X of the game. At least I can't find it.

Re: Changing gradual load
You're right. It's switched-on by default. Strange, though that it has a category defined. From my src/table/settings.ini:Sylf wrote:I don't think that entry in the settings window exists in the version 1.5.X of the game. At least I can't find it.
Code: Select all
[SDT_BOOL]
base = GameSettings
var = order.gradual_loading
from = 40
guiflags = SGF_NO_NETWORK
def = true
cat = SC_EXPERT

Re: Changing gradual load
Pretty sure vehicles loaded/unloaded instantly in the original game, but would still stay at least a few seconds at each station. The openTTD behavior of gradual loading by default makes more sense though, and looks better when you can see the carriages fill up or emptying too (but that it dosen't appear in settings is certainly a bug).
Re: Changing gradual load
So it's just a matter of displaying what will be loaded instead of what is loaded?
