Game crashes when clicking on certain stations

Post by Creave »

Got the patch, version 2.0

My problem is: When i click on certain stations to get the information about it the game simply closes. No error message.

I already found out, which criteria an station must fullfill to be such a one. The only thing that counts is the number of it.
So for example only the 99th and the 185th station (can be ANY type of station) you built causes that crash.

Anybody has a fix or at least ever had the same prob?

The only thing I can think of is that those stations contain cargo enroute from a station which was deleted.

You can try putting a "Cht: ResetThisStation" on top of the offending stations and see if it helps. You may also want to read the manual on the "Feederservice" feature, which may have contributed to this happening.

Wouldn't the station name be left though, since the text array and the station array are seperate?

The station name is of course deleted when the station sign disappears. So TTD is trying to read where the cargo is from, and that information is no longer available but TTD doesn't know and crashes instead.

I see, so couldn't you force TTD to say "en-route from unknown station" or just simply remove the "en-route from blablabla" if that happens?

Of course I could. But I've got better things to do at the moment...

Well, I'm happy if it goes on the todo list. :D
