People were moaning about, that others were posting OTTD pics in the TTD pics thread, so now people say that people using the patch should post in the patch area, bit lame if u ask me

Well, here goes... This game has only been going about 8 years (starting in 1940), this is pretty much the only built up area so far. I'm using more stations than are necessary so that I have as much possibility for expansion later on as possible. The locos are slow so a lot of trains required: Trafingbridge Woods has about 8 trains that go through it at the moment, four (I think) of which turn off at the strange looking junction by the bridges. I used 2-way signals to give trains two possible ways of getting out of here, seems to work nicely.

And.. wow... giant screenshot = 16.9 MB png file that makes my PC run .. rather slowly!

simple
use one of the graphics that has an exe and an undo, use it to alter the trtr1.grf and use that to start ottd.

I would be preferable if people host their own screenshots and link to them in the forum. The forum uses A LOT of traffic as it is. We don't need to add A LOT of screenshots to increase Owen's server bill

His bill will be the same becouse he always pay the same price he gets a bandwith that is fixed so we can't actualy make it biger so his bill will be normal.It can only increase if he decides to upgrade to bigger bandwith.

I don't know if he pays pr megabyte transfered or just for the bandwidth, but he was against that I should post large images, so I guess he is against increasing traffic for such a purpose. Since it should not be very hard to do and A LOT of people have somewhere to put images, I guess it would be a good place to help Owen. We do after all use the forum A LOT and he made it

But surely the TTDX thread with pictures should be subject to the same restriction then? Ah well. Uploaded to my webspace.

I'd rather people posted images here than link to them from other servers, as it's quite annoying when other servers go down, or are just plain slow, etc. I pay a fixed amount and have up to 40GB/month bandwidth available (we've used about 20GB so far this month).

This is a saved game I started a while ago (0.2 release) on my laptop and it took me ages to get anywhere (stupid nipple mouse!!) so that's my excuse for low money at the year its at.
