Goods depot and articulated lorries

Hi, I have recently found the game again after playing it in DOS on an old 386 machine 
.
I like all the improvements including the larger articulated lorries, but when I purchase one and select the road goods station the game tells me "Cannot insert new order - vehicle cannot go here".
As there is only 1 type of road goods depot, what am I doing wrong?
