I happened to look at the code and thought I would do something with it. I made a small patch to allow Swedish town names to be generated in the game. The patch adds a new string "STR_6000_SWEDISH". This might not be the best name, but you can change it to what you like. Otherwise it follows the code for the other types of town names.

Patch is against svn revision 88.

Since no one seems interested in this patch, I made a second version, with
even more possible names.

PS. Should I send the patch to some better place, or is this a good place
to send it to?

This is a good place. I'm not playing OTTD though.

You should post it to the sourceforge feature tracker next time you want to add new features. Now I got your patch so you don't have to do that this time.

How did you make that?

I want to make norwegian town names.

Look in namegen.c and mimic the other town name generations.

Hey, those names are pretty cool.. They certainly sound a lot more random than, for example, the german names. I guess I'll play with Swedish names from now on.

Indeed, great to see you dig up a topic that's been closed for 4 years. On what page did you find it, surely not the first one.
