production of factories : 0

Post by MeTo »

I adjusted productions of some factories with TTDAlter. But while the years are flowing, sometimes a few factories have suddenly production 0 tonnes/liters... Is it possible to solve it ? Or does exist any way, how to "reset" production of factories ?

If an industry (factory as you call it) doubles it's production after reaching the maximum of 2,295, it will go to 0 production and never increase. You'll have to remove it with morebuildoptions on.

I've just looked at the code in TTD, and it seems this can happen if one has TTDAltered the industries and given them production values larger than 31. It would happen if the industry increases production often enough to make that number larger than 255. If it then decreases production once, the production will go to zero.

Maybe I should fix that... but until then, you'll have to use TTDXEdit to set the production back to non-zero values when this happens.

By the way, each month an industry has a 0.37% chance of increasing production and 0.74% chance of decreasing. However, if you've transported 60% of its first cargo, those chances are reversed. In addition, temperate oil wells have a 1.1% chance of decreasing production, and no chance at all at increasing production (that's intentional, not a bug).
