Problems with competitor's airplanes after merger

I've bought out two of my competitors, but one of their airplanes is losing about $7,000 a year, so I want to delete it. However, the button to send the plane to the depot is grayed out and if I try to modify anything it says that I can't because it's owned by my company (originally owned by a computer, though). Your help is much appreciated.

Ok, I've loaded your game
None of the AI companies has planes
When I click on the plane list I go to the first AI company, this means you're managing it at this moment
This also means you can't manage your own planes
I can see one is losing money
You have to return to your own company :P :P

Edit: sorry I took a second look and went back to your own company, your planes are still greyed out
What did you do ???

I loaded it and saw no problem.

The green company is player 1, but it's currently managing the purple company. To go back to green, open the player window of the green company and click 'manage'. Then you can control the green planes again.

Oh, the manage button. Wow, I guess the only problem was that I just don't know how to play the game. :D

Thanks for helping me with my incompetence. :)
