Slower Time

I have another question! is there a way to make time go slower as it sometimes takes my planes 2 months plus to get to the destination and we know that would never happen these days. I know its only a game but i think the time goes to fast.

If it's only planes, change the plane speed factor.
If it's everything, there's a daylength patch somewhere in the development section. I believe that's also part of Chill's Patch Pack.

Yeah i was referring to all forms of transports, just used the planes as an example with them being the fastest form, the same applies for trains, ships and buses, all day a few days/months to get to the destination.
I will look up this patch but i have problems with installing patches, i tired to install the patch to get the huge airports working and it didn't work even though i followed the tutorial

Can you please stop colouring the text?
It is unreadable against a grey background.

patches cannot be simply installed, unless you already can compile the game yourself.
But in most cases there are precompiled binaries provided in the topic of the patch (pack)

The best thing I can recommend is to use Chill's Patchpack. Not only can you adjust daylength, but 'days' can be displayed as 'minutes', making distances much more reasonable.

Thanks i will go look for precomplied files
I found these
http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/chillpp/releases/ which im guessing are the binaries! quick maybe stupid question, are all the files containing different patches or are they updates are each other,
Do i download them all or just one?

Just one, open the folder that has the latest date and dowload the binary that matches your OS.
The older folders are previous versions with either less features (patches) and less bugfixes.
You will be able to continue your game with newer versions untill I state otherwise in my topic.
ps:
Recent stable/nightly savegames are incompatible with my patchpack but games from the 1.0.x branch and older can be loaded.

Thank you for the kind words.
If you want to know what is new, the first post of my thread has a list of included patches with links to the individual topics.
Also you may want to check the changelog and the known bugs file, although it is not yet included with the binaries it seems. I'll upload both to the first post of my thread in a bit; you may want to check in five minutes or so.
EDIT: Make that the second post for the changelog and third post for the buglist.
Finally if you have any questions in regards of the functioning of the patchpack, please ask them in my thread. See my signature.
Enjoy your game.
