Hey i am getting a bit bored, not a lot, with the normal ottd and therefor i looked into downloading some additions to the game.

Found FIRS industry thingie...was very excited when i saw all the new industries and opportunities in the game...but i started to cry a little inside when i tried to start a new game the 11th time and still saw my train loading absoloutly nothing!...I have set on full load before leaving the station and it just keep standing on 0%...i have tried transporting, scrap metal, ores, oil etc. but nothing works for me. How come? and i have tried with different train sets.

Secondly i've seen in a few videos, that people have a little () behind their productions in their different industries. How do i get that? Seems a lot more detailed. The same with towns, and the information it shows there.

Hope some one can help me.

What version of OpenTTD (and perhaps FIRS) do you use?
Also, a savegame may help here, otherwise we are basically just guessing what might be wrong.


PS And for the next time, please find a title that better matches the topic you are asking about. People use it to filter irrelevant topics, and "A few different questions" gives no clues that you ask about FIRS in any way.

Got OTTD version 1.1.5 so the newest one.

Atm i have loadet the following GRFs:
FIRS industry replacement 0.6.4
Open gfx trains(0.2.5) and road vehicles(0.3.1)
General Av8ion 1.0
and FISH 0.9.2

EDIT: The game below is just quickly made, same as i have done ~10 time before.

1.1.5 is hardly the newest.
It was branched off almost a year ago, and only received backported patches for bugs only.

FIRS usually requires a quite recent OpenTTD, so perhaps you should give 1.2.0-beta3 or a nightly a try.

ahhhh thanks a lot, that helped. Just thought i had the newest version since i downloaded it from the download page ~ 1 month ago.
Problem solved.

One word: Refits.

Your train in the test save has wagons to transport coal, while the industry produces scrap metal. So, the train will not load because there is no suitable cargo available. Refitting it in a depot will allow it to transport scrap metal.
