I am new to openttd, but I have played it for a while, so I think it is time for some different looking things, but where can I find them? are GRF(or something) a sort of texturepacks? or how are they called? could you just tell me where to find "texturepacks", and maybe the forum page where the installation is explained
I know this is a stupid question
also, I am not sure if this is posted in the right forum, so if it isn't, sorry

From the main menu you will find a content downloader, i'd suggest this to be where you should start.

GRFs give you new industries, objects, vehicles, infrastructure, rail types, etc etc etc...

so that are GRFs, but what are the things called that changes how everything looks? I would like the same trains and station, but just an other texture, that is actually what I am looking for

There is no such thing, the only time this happens is between TTD Original graphics and OpenGFX. They are only two types of graphics for the original train sets.

GRFs.

GRFs are:
- sets of graphics that replace standard graphics
- lines of code that change the standard beahviour of something
- a combination of both

If you download a vehicle GRF you get different "textures" as you put it, but not necessarily exactly the same as in the standard game.

Generally: GRF = Game Ressource File

They have the ability to define, describe, add and remove game content like vehicles, cargos, houses, industries, stations, objects...

Yep, it's an unfortunate acronym to say the least.

It used to be graphics resource file, back in the TTD days. But now can do so much more than just provide new graphics.

ok :'(, now, can somebody direct me to a GFR for new bridges? my map is just full of the tunnel bridge things, and I don't really like them
