need admin help

i downloaded the 1.1.2 rcd or something and i cant join any multiplayer games and i tryed too download the 1.1.1 stable but is says "you already have a newer version" and soo i can only join games i host please help me

What is your operating system? If it's Windows, try downloading the zip file rather than the installer and unzipping it into your OpenTTD directory.

It appears the 1.1.2 stable has been released anyway, so this is moot. Just get the latest trunk, most servers should update in the next few days.

You need to run exactly the same version as the server that you try to connect to. In the list of servers inside the game as well as
on the web, you can see which version each server use.
As of when I write this, there actually are three servers that use the 1.1.2-RC2 version. If that is what you have installed, you have to stick to those servers. However upgrading to 1.1.2 would be recommended. Over time the 1.1.1 servers should upgrade to 1.1.2.
