[Resolved] There's no trains in the list of trains to buy

Omg this is SO frustrating, I decided to start a new massive project so I loaded up the Sweden Scenario into the newest CargoDist OpenTTD and spent 2 full days setting up THE perfect transportation-network throughout entire Sweden and I thought I'd wait until it's done before I buy my first train (I was using cheats for money).

2 days later the set-up was complete and I was ready to populate it with an army of trains, only to find that when I click a depot and "new vehicle" there is 0 things in the list (despite the filters all showing "any cargo" etc).

If I do a new game it works to buy trains, but NOT in this Sweden Scenario, everytime I make a new game from it there's no trains to buy.

The scenario itself doesn't say any special NewGRF's are needed.

My desperate question is: is there anyway to get it to work without having to remake the entire thing? (which took me 2 days to build).
Even if it's just some hacky console-command to spawn a train or something, since everything else is working all I need is some trains.

Same problem on all types of rails btw (meglav etc)

Welcome to the forums.

The issue is probably NewGRF related. Can you post a screenshot of your NewGRF list? (Or better, a savegame).

Also try enabling the "Vehicles never expire" option and execute the "reset_engines" command via console: http://wiki.openttd.org/Console#Using_the_console

Alberth pointed me to the Sweden scenario in the online content. The scenario does not require NewGRFs now, but by checking the gamelog it seems that the scenario creator added many vehicle NewGRFs and later removed them. The option to change NewGRFs has been removed in recent stables of OpenTTD, exactly because of issues like this one.

I can't get any train engines to build (not even by changing the date and using the resetengines command), so unless someone else has a different idea the train vehicle list for that scenario is broken beyond repair. If you are desperate you might be able to get trains by adding a train set NewGRF but as explained above this will lead to bugs (and not always as obvious as "no vehicles appear at all").

EDIT: It seems that the same issue has been reported by other users to the scenario thread. See http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=44921

Ah, thanks Terkhen that explains it, good thing that gap has been closed for maps to do that in the future,
as for now, oh well I've started a new from scratch in the smaller Stockholm scenario and this one works.

Thanks for the suggestion, it was worth a try, it didn't do the trick tho.

typically this problem can be solved by adding a train set again.
