extra button on ingame-menu

Hi,
just discovered openttd. Finally a game I can play with my girlfriend :-p.
one suggestions I would like to ask for: an extra button in the ingame-menu which gets me to the main menu, or change more game-options then are available now.
For example, when I screw up (which, since I am new to the game, happens quite A LOT), I would like to be able to open a new game without having to quit openttd and open it again.
Another great thing would be to be able to modify the newGRF's ingame (not all, but like city-names and stuff).
I don't really know how to really accurately describe my request in full detail, I just miss something that happens when hitting ESC during a game :-p.
