Downloaded the USA scenerio but it would seem there are no trains. Also, when I launch a regular game, no trains. Please let me know what I am missing. Thank you!

Don't know what scenario you are running, there are several.
"Scenario USA" seems to start in 1920, there are no default trains at that time.

I found that a cheat to a later year will work! OMG IM so excited! Thank you all!

you don't need the year cheat, you can simply change the year in the scenario editor.
