Hello from Chris Sawyer

Hello Fans,

Im back to the drawing board and working on the next sequel to Locomotion. I guess my interest to start working on the next line of Transport Tycoon was inspired while consulting with Frontier Developments for Roller Coaster Tycoon 4, which is making solid progress.

For some nostalgia, I've decied to share some memories of the early days of the birth of Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Thank you fans for your support over the years, and your encouragement through your solid interest in Open TTD.

Wow

If this is indeed the ledgend himself then welcome (Im sure im not the only one who has at the back of my mind that this may just be a hoax) However the pictures and email account seem real enough)

Transport tycoon was one amazing game and thanks to the developers of OpenTTD it has as strong a fanbase as ever. You are a true master of tycoon games and i look forward to seeing what the future may hold from you

Thank you!

Hi Chris,
I'm sure you can understand we're not sure if you're being impersonated by someone.
Please write to Owen rudge and he would love to be a conduit to speak to you.

Hello chris,i would like to tell u that transport tycoon have a big big fan following, rather then locomotion, people are still crazy about transport tycoon, while i only played locomotion for about 3-4 months before i got bored and never was tempted to play it again.
You could spend your time making another transport tycoon rather then wasteing your time on locomotion, this time make transport tycoon a real heavy duty product, with endless features, like big airports catering more then 20 plus planes at a time, multiple entry/exit points for the airplanes, can allow other competaters the use of station for a fee which can be on the station owners discreation adjusted and vice versa, after some years when we have earned so much, there is no other option to spend the money rather then for buying planes or trains, there should be options for spending money, like expensives cars, big houses, palaces, stock exchanges,guards/protocols,holding lavish parties or being invited to the opponext parties, expensice suits, meetings between the opponents to discuss the future actions/rules,if we have been promoted or demoted from our positions then our powers are also enhanced/trim according to our rank, mood of opponents keep on changing, have the capiblity to make to multiple airlines under one company, like one for passenger other for cargo or regional or international, with different liveries.

I didn't realise you'd moved to Australia, "Chris". Also, your grammar seems to have slipped compared with previous correspondence we've had. I hope you don't mind if I ban you.

In the unlikely event the actual real Chris Sawyer wants to come on the forums, then of course you would be most welcome. The "Chris Sawyer" username is reserved for you. E-mail me (forums@tt-forums.net) so we can verify your identity.

Or he is the same person that is impersonating Chris Sawyer, who is somehow hoping that that reply will lend him authenticity. Either that or pilot777lr is an absolute complete fool.

So we caught up again?
Once before, I was caught up with the April fool (saying locomotion will have a patch like TTDPatch). And now its done again.

I personally think this is'nt a joke. Those screens look real. And if it's fake, then there still is no reason to say: 'Which stupid idiot did this?'. But if it´s true, then i can´t wail for a Locomotion sequel! :D

Screens do seem real - even down to using the development name. But then I doubt Chris Sawyer was the only person who would have screenshots.

Hello Mr. Chris Sawyer. How r u. Meet me I am the 'one who developed Railroad Tycoon 3'. Feel free when ever u need my advice. I OFFER MY HELP FOR FREE TO u in your locomotion sequel.
Well if you think that I am joking, then someone else started first.

I think this should end here. A joke once in a while is OK.

I don't know whether Chris Sawyer is happy about originate OTTD via reverse engineering TTD in 2003.
