ECS cargo standard vehicle set

Post by Honza_ »

Hello, here I present NewGRF from my magic workshop. Tonight it is set with original TTD vehicles enabled to be reffited to ECS cargo (all vehicles are included, which means trains, cars, airplanes and ships).
Each cargo has its special graphics (train wagons and cars only). I used original graphics and where it wasnt enough I used Michael Blunkcs Cargo set 2003.
Some nice preview picture could be posted here in future, just try it to see it.
No parameters.

What about support for the additional FIRS cargos?

A was a little selfish with this newgrf, because I play only ECS O:-)
Well, if there was huge interest from players, it wouldnt hurt me to recode it also for FIRS or make one unique set.

Discussions in the forums re FIRS would seem to indicate a high level of interest.

at this point i think ECS and FIRS are about equal popular :D (for me, FIRS is way better, it works with daylength where ECS does not ;) )

Bananas stats say quite different.

Current ECS has about 80,000 downloads.
Current FIRS has about 3,000.

So FIRS is about 26 times less popular than ECS on that measure.

but from what date is that last ECS and what date is that last FIRS ?
that ecs seems to be from NOV 2009.
that first is from just a few weeks back.

Yeah, comparisons on different time scales are always difficult. 8)

I´ve put extensions for both ECS and FIRS cargoes here on the same date:
Download activity for DBXL_ECS and DBXL_FIRS extensions:

dbxl_ecs.zip [6.43 KiB]
Downloaded 376 times

dbxl_firs.zip [5.59 KiB]
Downloaded 218 times
Again, even this should be taken with a grain of salt, because I´ve updated both files twice. 8)

regards
Michael
