Train signals

Hi,

I am trying to understand the more advanced train signals so I create a big station were trains from bot directions come to unload.
First I've used the Entry signal and the exit signal.
It worked fine but had error in it. If 1 train arrives or leave the station the other would just wait at the signal.

So then I've found out the path signal. So now I want to combine the path signal with the Entry & exit signal but can't seem to let it work.

ANy help is appreciated!

Just don't. Either use path signals (=replace your entry signals with path signals and remove your exit signals) or use entry/exit signals. Never combine them.

From the screenshot it looks like you want trains to use your station from both sides, right? In that case using pre-signals isn't a very good idea as they can deadlock trains sometimes.

What you should use is the layout that you can find in the wiki at http://wiki.openttd.org/Yet_Another_PBS ... ay_station. This is an example of a simple two-way station using path signals. If each of your tracks to the station is used by only one train and leads to a single platform, don't place a path signal at the other station, just at the entrance to your big station. Otherwise just build the stations like the two-way station, just with tracks only one side.
