Just started a new game and decided to have a go at a screen shot story.

It had taken 5 years of hard labour and small profits off tram services to get the foundations to B.J.Cox's grand plans, but at last the London and Ashford Transit Company has begun passenger services from Lewisham to the City of London, and cargo transport at Folkestone Docks for the local Factory.

Now with a steady income coming in, B.J.Cox now sets his sights on connecting Ashford to London but this is going to take some heavy civil engineering as the journey has many hills and rivers to navigate. More news to follow as it happens

I like the newspaper pic, if nothing else for the amusing side story.
I don't think we've seen anything quite like that before.
Looks like an interesting start though.

With two local link lines running busy services from near by towns and villages to the Capital and cargo from the mines to Cannon Street London Bridge is slowly becoming a busy station and will soon require a new track layout. In shot is the sister engines 'Halley's Comet' and 'Fire Fly'.

Hello all
Ive not posted any screenshots for a while now but thought i'd post one from a game I been playing recently. It's the King Edward IV Bridge which spans the narrowest section of Lake Wintermore, connecting Dover on the South coast to Peterborough on The North. A journey which before construction on the bridge took almost 9 hours.
You have to ignore the bad shading on the bridge I've not yet mastered that

Indeed it is.

Incredibly epic. It does rather highlight OpenTTD's weird scaling though.
Also, is that actually built/drawn in-game, or drawn onto the screenshot? If the former, it's even more epic

at the moment its drawn on a screenshot but I am looking into if it can be placed as eyecandy in sections.

The odd thing is that it looks perfectly in-scale at first glance (because it is, at least with the trains on it). Then I look at the ships and think "Hmm...". Then I imagine a normal TTD suspension bridge next to it, and my head asplodes*...
*This is the first, and probably last, example of me using the word 'asplode' on a web forum.

From my limited knowledge, that wouldn't be possible without horrendous clipped errors. The object would simply be far too big! I think anything over 100px starts creating problems.

Just a quick shot of a busy Harbour city where many holiday travellers start their journeys to the near by island resorts. Smaller high speed ships carry people on short hops around the coast. The ageing 1905 cruise ship HMS Titan has just left port for its final trip around the bay and two modern Liners The QM1 returning from a trip around the north Islands and QE1 just setting off for the South.
Hope you like.
