Well, I thought someone should say thanks

I have no idea what this may depend on, but when installing OpenTTD 1.0.3-RC1, I chose to also download OpenSFX and OpenMSX. Both those optional downloads failed

It fails for me as well, and now I remember that when installing OpenTTD on my flatmates computer 1+ week ago the downloads failed as well. But didn't pay attention to it then.

Did the downloading fail or did the uncompressing fail?

The downloading fails (have screenshots if needed). I initially see the download bar for a short period, less than 0.1 sec is my guess, and then immediately the popup box with the notification of failure. I'm on Win XP SP3.

edit:Ok it fails when installing over an existing installation: the files already exist. You then get the error that downloading failed.
edit2:However this cannot be the problem as my flatmate experienced it as it was a clean install. (90% sure of this)

Could you try again? I've removed one of the mirrors from active duty as it was serving 403s on the installer's files. So I rather hope it works again.

Tried again, and indeed, now installing over an existing installation does not fail on the downloads.
