My AI has 7 trains. If I look at the "profit last year" in the list of trains, I see

26110+13414+9462+6900+5882+5325+1020

This is not equal last year "train income" 101951!

The income displayed in the train list is netto income, so the income - running costs.

As Morloth said: profit != income, profit = income - running costs.
In this case you would still get a difference of 4 pounds, but that can easily be explained by the use of fractal numbers for the running costs and the associated rounding.
