Hi
I've installed the Open TTD with the TTD patch as I'm using Vista, but when I try to run the game from the patch desktop icon, it says it cannot find "play.dll"
Is anyone able to offer advice at all?
Ummm, help

Re: Ummm, help
OpenTTD and TTDPatch are two completely different games and have approx. as much in common as FreeCiv and Civilization II.
You seem to try to start TTDPatch - which you seem to have installed only incompletely. I recall reading about a similar problem in the TTDPatch problems section further down in this forum.

Right whoops, big noobie errror, thought they were all the same, I'll uninstall everything and try again with the version on this site as I got the TTD files from a mirror site.
If only the sodding disc would install!

The question is: what do you want to install?
OpenTTD comes with an installer for windows which you can just launch after download and it gives you the choice to install everything up to the point where you'll just have to click the icon to launch the application; no need for the ancient TTD install which will fail on some recent windows systems.
EDIT: get it here: http://www.openttd.org/en/download-stable
