How to record Locomotion onscreen?

I have some ideas that I would like to carry out on Locomotion, but they would require me to be able to RECORD Locomotion with something like Fraps or Hypercam.

Unfortunately, Fraps doesn't seem to work, and I don't know how to use Hypercam or SnagIt with Locomotion.

Somehow, some people have managed to record Locomotion.

Like this:

Or this:

Could someone please tell me how to?

It would be especially nice if I could record only the part of the screen that DOESN'T have buttons and the like, because I was hoping to try and make some Thomas the Tank Engine episodes.

What you want is hypercam. You can have it open while locomotion is running. Just minimize locomotion and drag the recording box to the area you think you want. Then click record and open back up lomo. Thats all there is to it.

I want to try that again because I wasn't able to get it working either. I'll try it your way and see if I can do it. Thanks

Guys it's simple like Opan said run Hypercam and select the region you want to record, keep it run and open locomotion. Then hit F2 to start recording and press it again to stop recording. This is what I always do and to prove check out my youtube channel.
