Installing Open TTD on a mac 10.4.11

Hi there

I love Open TTD and would love to play it on my computer. However I am having serious trouble downloading open TTD for my mac. Could someone please help me out either link me the exact location of everything I need to download and steps i need to do.

I have googled it, read the wiki, searched the forums.

Sorry if its a hassle and if this isn't in the right place, but I really want to play this game.

There's no download location for OpenTTD for mac.

All you can do is download the sources yourself and compile it - which is of moderate difficulty, if you've never done it before. Check out the wiki and the development forum here. You may find binaries posted for mac, but chances are very good that those binaries are not suitable to run on OSX Tiger, but only OSX (Snow) Leopard, possibly even only on one hardware platform.

I have read that before, but as someone who is not very competent or confident with computers in terms of directories binaries etc, I really don't know what to do.

It would be great to know what are these sources I need to download. i.e maybe not links, but the bare minimum I need to get it working.

I know you need the programme, graphics, music etc, but as there is no macintosh version, which version do I download.

you can try downloading the windows version, and run it in wine (or their mac equivalent)

or you can download the source code version and try to compile it
