I installed OpenTTD 1.0 RC2 (I have win 7 starter). I did it both ways, used the installer that automatically installed graphic and sound files and also downloaded the .zip and manually put graphic and sound files to data folder. When I open the game I get the same error on both ways:

Failed to select requested sounds set 'original_windows'

---------------------------

Go to the personal OpenTTD directory, see section 4.2 of the readme where that exactly is. There you should find an openttd.cfg. Either open it and remove the line with "soundsset = original_windows" or remove openttd.cfg. This should solve the problem.
