Before I start, I want to say that I don't want this request to sound arrogant or anything, because the usual 'Why don't you just do it yourself' phrases would come out, which is fair enough.

Anyway, after what I would call a successful Switzerland scenario (see scenario and screenshots), I have decided to try and expand, as that scenario didn't include Basel, Zurich, Innsbruck etc. If someone could possibly produce a heightmap of the surrounding area (I can produce a google map showing the desired area) in 2048x2048 size, I would be most appreciative.

It would cost you money, but you can get a very detailed heightmap at the Swiss Federal Office of Topography. Link below:

I generated you an image from the DHM25/200 dataset, which is available from Swisstopo for free (but requires registration).

Heightmap of Switzerland with 200m resolution (1.1MB)

Is there a rectangular map on this side too? I´m intersted in it^^. A map with this format is not really helpful but a good beginning.
