It can try it. At this time I'm working on the 252 locomotive (It's like the EuroSprinter locomotives), also, I will release two electric locomotives, a CIWL coach, two car carriers and a small DMU train.
Also, I will try to fix a lot of locomotives which looks too wide or too narrow or have too dark colours.

Also, I'm trying to create some small stations, this is a station near my city:

I need to fix the size of the building, because It's too big, but It looks good IMHO.
These stations works as objects, so They should be created before starting a game.

I have updated a lot of files in the last two years using a more uniform lighting setup, added some trains (447 and some wagons) and some liveries (Catalonia, rare liveries found in old photos...).

I have created a combo file with sources and DAT files, so if some people needs to modify something in the future and I cannot do it, that modification or addition will be possible. This is the procedure to modify a file:
Get the Blend file and its sources (I hope that everything is included), open it with Blender (note: I am still using 2.49b for this purpose), modify the file (source textures are modified using GIMP), render the PNGs (I have tried to make it automatic since 2020), take the PNG files, rename them (rename the batch file .txt -> .bat), crop and reduce the palette (I am using the latest Irfanview, use the most suitable batch file for the vehicle), then copy the files in the "DAT making folder", edit the XML file with the path of the PNG files... and you have the new or updated vehicle. The scale that I am using is that standard coaches are 14 px wide and a 26.6m long coach (9000) is 90 px long in game, I have shortened the vehicles a 20% to allow a better look in tight curves, just like some Roco trains which are 1/100 in X axis.

These source files could be useful if you want to start a new set, also they can be used to create trains of Chile, Brazil or Iran, because these countries purchased used trains from Spain. The set contains trains from Portugal that are in common with Spain (for example, a 591 DMU, a Uerdinger Schienenbus in Portugal livery). I would like to create those all trains (Chile, Brazil, Iran...), but it is not easy, but the source allows people to made them.

If you only want to play, just copy and paste the files. The license of the DAT files are CC BY-SA, but screenshots can be distributed freely (of course :D ).

The "post 2020" DAT files for some trains could be not compatible with previous savegames, because I have tweaked the length of the trains.

Acknowledgements: Ben Robbins, because he created the template for OpenTTD that I have modified for Locomotion (I have modified it a lot: FFF white sun, different position for the sun, plain sky color...).

I use eMule because the file is very large (157 mb) due the sources and P2P allows me to keep the distribution untended, so if I cannot distribute the file for a certain reason, it could be distributed by other people. Of course this doesn't mean that I am going to abandon the set, I only mean that if I cannot work on it (fingers crossed), at least other people can continue the work. :D Note that there are a lot of details to improve, for example, the position of effects (sparks, smoke...).

Great to hear about this, and especially the release of some of the source files. (I honestly can't wait to get modding for some of these overseas Spanish trains :lol: , will of course only release with your permission) I can't figure out how to get an eLink to work, might be because I'm from australia but I've never even heard of an eLink before. I copied and pasted it into the URL but nothing showed up, it was just a standard google search. Could you tell me how to use the eLink please? Sorry for my negligence.

I have updated the elink due the presence of two texture files, they are not mine, so I had removed them (I prefer to use only self made textures, also, they are better for Locomotion because if you use the palette, the color reduction will be less aggressive leaving less areas with two different hues).

Also, I have added more source files (old electric locomotives, 308 and container wagons) that I forgot to add.

My next idea is to add the 321 locomotive, and 598, 599, 120 and 121 DMUs/EMUs (they have similar shapes). I hope that Openloco allows to use more trains, because I have more trains in this set than vehicles that Locomotion can handle.

AI loves the 594-4 DMU and the 443 ("little banana") EMU, and tall viaducts too. :P

Notes about development, container wagons are rendered at ×2 resolution, and then they are scaled down with GIMP, this allows to keep the lines of the containers, otherwise Blender removes them.

Sounds great! eMule seems to be working for me at this point.
I'd love to see some of these assets in company colours for use in built in, multiplayer or competitor scenarios. (and because of my weird obsession with trying to collect every company coloured asset there is for the game :lol: )
