Undo Button

I expect this may have been suggested before (although I couldn`t find anything in a search) but how about an Undo button for when you place a station/depot in the wrong place or choose the wrong orientation? I can remove tracks and roads, etc, and get cash back, but not for the stations & depots.

I really really doubt it is possible... But I'm not sure...

Inpossible, you would need make a time travel. There isn't any undo in real time games...

Yes, it costs money to build a station but it also costs money to take it away. The only bit you could easily re-use is the railway track down the middle, which is why you get money back for demolishing railway track.
Remember that demolishing track is the only time you get money for demolishing things.

I've never thought that made sense; why is track the only thing you get money back for demolishing? Just about every building material you can imagine can be recycled in some way, and it makes sense that you would get money for selling the materials for everything, not just track. Indeed, I would imagine that many TTD structures are made of the same basic materials as the track.

Of course, its not realistic, but an undo-Button would be good for the gameplay.
And there are a lot of games like transport tycoon which have an undo-button.

This OpenTTD wiki page sums it up pretty well. (The same applies to TTDPatch)

Holy topic digger..

The last post was almost 6 years ago.. Your reply wa neither constructive nor IMO deserving of such a topic bump.

Its considered best forum practice to not do things like that, but perhaps create a new topic with new or improved suggestions

This has been discussed to death in the Other Program's forum. The reasons it won't work there are exactly the same as the reasons it won't work here.

If you want the ability to undo, save the game. Then reload if something goes wrong.
