FISH is Ships ...and this is the development thread for FISH.

'Nightly' builds of FISH:

What does FISH mean? Who knows. Could be Finest Ship set, could be because it's Inland and Inshore Shipping, or perhaps it just doesn't matter; however you look at it, FISH is Ships.
Finished FISH will feature ships in fine sizes from 15tons to 1080t. I'm debuting with diesel, then I'll shovel in steam, then (maybe) we'll see about sail.
There is literally no point in submitting suggestions or bug reports at this point, I will simply ignore them

.
However when the time is right, let the suggestions begin
cheers,
Andy

Gorgeous ships andy!
Seriously though, nice to see a ship set in the works.

You have indeed taken a different approach to graphics. The detail in those are stunning, especially the large and medium Coaster. I mean, wow

Isn't that what ships look like?! Don't you remember the huge green and red box in
Titanic?

Ah. It sounded like Xander were the only one having problems. I'm on my iPod now, so I couldn't test it myself.

Andy - from the names alone this set surely raises expectations.
Why - it may be the best ship-set out there with some suitable sprites.

I have to agree. That is an unusual approach. But it sure compresses well.

There's something fishy here...

I'd say you've taken an unusual approach to the whole process of making a newgrf. First the coding, then the graphics? Never have seen it that way before...
I hope you're only taking a creative break from drawing FIRS industries, and not stopping completely - it'd be a shame to leave it half finished, in my opinion

Having knocked through 1.5 sets so far in the last 12 months, I think it's the better way. I care more about game balance than eye candy. If graphics are drawn with no thought to game balance, the result is wasted sprites, or a clunky set.
Drawing takes *way* longer than coding and is way more painful, so I figured I'd try this one for gameplay before I touch a single pixel

Nah, it's just a break, FooBar is away, I'm playing FIRS test games, I need better ships to carry FIRS cargos

Particularly engineering supplies, which needs relatively low capacity boats.

That's true.

Intermission

Ho...look... peterp can paste urls!
Edit: andithenorth is not a beginner. He is very well aware of both of your links. If he did not send it there, THERE MUST BE A REASON.
