when launching the game, i keep getting this error message:
File "newgrf/ttdpatchw.grf" has invalid sprite #1 (code 1/0)
I'm using TTDpatch 2.6 r2160

Remove newgrf/ttdpatchw.grf from your newgrf.cfg. It is not a newgrf.

So long as its in the newgrf folder, it should be automatically loaded, it does not need to appear in newgrf[w].cfg, if you want to place it in that file, it should be the first entry.

Lakie, that is ttdpatch.grf, not ttdpbase.grf. And, according to the error message, its second sprite (sprite 1) is a real sprite.
It is not a newgrf.
tasgh: The only way to load it is to:
1) Find a suitably ancient version of TTDPatch, or
2) Turn it into a properly formed newgrf.

Right, another problem, with other patch:
I'm trying to use the new industries patches. I can load trucks or ships with any cargo type, however trains can only load the original cargos..
