I love the way it still has a long snout, like the old Dutch EMUs.

But this picture is rather impressive. (Bridge accros the "Hollands Diep" waterway)

And this is the temporary "high speed" train:

Image

Will start september this year between Rotterdam and Amsterdam. (Vmax 160kmh) consists out ot a Bombardier Traxx engine and the ICMm carriages currently still used by the standard "Beneluxtrein". The old International train will be removed, but there are still rumours to keep it alive. (Because the HSL doesnt stop on certain station.)

Stations who will lose there International connection: (i could mis some but here are the major ones:)

1. Den Haag Holland Spoor (HS) (CS will get a shuttle to Rotterdam though)
2. Dordrecht
3. Rosendaal

Nice. Looks like a duck. I like ducks. :D

As soon as our High-Speed-Train "Railjet" gets faster than the old ICs, I'll start a thread too.

Yes, I do find it ugly. But that does not really matter since it is a matter of taste.
More important is that it works. Unfortunately, the Italian manufacturer of this train (AnsaldoBreda) has a poor reputation...
