Patch Pack List

Upon speaking with the patchpack owners, i have come to the conclusion that i should just make a list of patch packs on the forums, and link to all of them from here for ease of use. Maybe with some support this will become a sticky?
So here is a list so far:
Bilbo's Multiplayer Patch Pack by Bilbo for Openttd 0.7.1
Terkhen's Patch Pack by Terkhen R16578
KGAT Patchpack by 2007Alain2007 R16183
RCPP by Smokey555 R15965
Tib's Patch Pack by Tiberius R14004
If you want your patch pack to feature here, either send me a pm with a link or post a comment on this thread.
Thanks
Leanden

Let all these patch packers pack their patches and go off to the patch packers forum

glad we have some support, i know this is probably in the wrong place, but once it is either cast aside with the other suggestions or approved, this thread can be deleted.

Looking at the first page of the OpenTTD Development forum, I count only 3 patch pack topics. Way too little to warant a new forum I'd say, but it's not my decision, and this topic doesn't belong here. It should go in
Forum suggestions and feedback

I realised that after i posted it, over time though there have been a fair few patch packs, why not put them all in one place?

Since MiniIN, there were always patch packs or ins (can't spell it so I use the short;-) comming and leaving. I don't think, we have more now.

So let all patch packers unpack their patch packs and come back to the patch development forum

Long before I decided to post my patch pack, I wondered if this subforum was appropiate for them: patch packs are just compilations of patches, and besides some (rare) pointers to a patch creator and the testing they provide, patch packs don't help with development. Obviously they are related to development, but if that relation is enough to post them at the development subforum is debatable.
My other point is that, as some people has already said, there is not that much patch packs. Currently there is only two active patch packs: Bilbo's multiplayer patch pack and my own TPPP. Since I started lurking the forums (sometime around july 2008) I have never seen more than two active patch packs at once and there has been long periods without a single one. I doubt that after moving all past and present patch packs to a new subforum it would reach two pages.
I think that this question should be resolved taking into account two points:
- Are patch packs important enough to deserve their own subforum?
- Moving patch packs to a new subforum would help keeping the development subforum tidier and readable?
Personally, my answer to both questions is no. Patch packs aren't that important to OpenTTD as a whole to deserve their own subforum (even if I would like to have it

) and, since there is such a small number of them, the development subforum would look almost the same without them.
Finally, as a patch pack creator I must say that, as long as the TPPP thread is accessible by everybody at these forums, I don't care that much about where it is located.

Leanden you could change the subject name to patch pack list and you could say who made them and a a link to the post that would do what your saying and could help out A LOT more becuse i seen tons of patch packs come and go but some old ones are still good fun to play

I really don't think that patch packs need a dedicated forum. After all they're well placed in the development forum as they gather existing patches found there (and elsewhere). Splitting them from the dev forum wouldn't solve anything IMO as long as people stick to the rule that problems / suggestions / whatever related to a specific patch pack are posted in the corresponding thread.
