Hey NEVER put that into fund new indrusty cause the game´s idea would be completely spoiled.
And if u want to fund forest do it with scenario editor (but it´s kinda of cheating)

I agree...

In tropical you can at least fund a lumber mill :D
The only "producing" industri you can fund I think...

becouse they aren't at start and they aren't seeded random, so they can be build...

Unlike oil rigs and banks that do get seeded random...

This is a bad idea, because it makes the game way to easy. Say if you put 5-6 farms, coal / iron mines, forests etc, by each other, then at your station you gonna have so much stuff, you won't know what to do with it. Then it gets to easy, and no fun.

Easy, cheating, put with scenario editor, way to easy...
Why no one considers that if I have enough money to fund industries (plant forest) I already played long enough and have so much money what game already way to easy?

I find the entire ability to fund new industries useless...
If you could just place stuff where you'd want it, it would end up easy and boring. The fact that you sometimes have to get to the other side of the entire map, makes it fun to do and challenging.

I find it fun to watch a train drive from North to South :)

Well who wouldn´t want more money from the transportation
-It´s the same goods but you get more money (exept with those 1921 trains)

yeah, I agree, it fun to see a train go a long way and via many junctions and waypoints to get to it´s destination :)

make them all buildable, then make them even more expensive.

Hmm... There was an old topic that were discussed about, that making test drillings for oil and coal mines, and testing ground for forests, but i never found an answer for this.

Why
The game would lose it´s idea
Build the in scenario editor and then spend your money by raising mount everest from sea and putting back
