Just because i felt like uploading some more save games here they are.


Screenies are to follow

All require no mods

some people on slow internet connections may appreciate it if you ZIPped or RARed them, 3MB is quite large...

I would recommend posting some screenshots when you upload your saves so that people can see what the savegame looks like, it may make more people interested.

Also, for each savegame I would recommend posting which mods are needed and if any files like the trackst.dat has been altered from the default as this could cause some conflicts, and worse case the savegame not to load on another persons computer.

As i said, screenies will be put on later and they may be zipped if i feel like zipping them... which would probably happen.

I wont download zips or scenario`s without seeing what is is. So just post screenshots.

Isn't this supposed to go in some savegame sticky?

Dude, its pretty much standard practice to zip them and post some screens to give info...I bet you would be there complaining if someone posted some savegames or scenarios without zipping and giving screenies.

I know how to zip them... First thing i knew.

Anyway... All 3 savegames rolled onto one zip!





Note: lt zip is so big as i am in the year 2050 (or close enough) (And started in 1980, a personal best!) and there are loads of trains.

Nor will I. It makes it easier for people to know what it is they are downloading if you throw a few piccies of your savegame in there. They don't take much to do, about a minute, but it definately gives us an idea of what we're saving. No one wants to wait for something to download, just to open it up and find it's crap. And you don't want someone (or many) to avoid it because they can't see what's in it with out downloading it... Does that make sense?

Sorry about this, but the HUGE US pack which i got off ami contained a virus and so i have had to completely reinstall my loco so no screenies for a while. Until further notice, i will take off the downloads.

Hmm US set with virus? You sure you didnt took oen from somewhere else? Otherwise we would have got 4000+ people crying about now...

oh yes. a virus that only attacks locomotion. ~sigh~

That is one of the stupidest things i have ever heard on this forum.
Sounds more like user error...
Instead of posting a screen shot of your save games you rather blame someone Else....



If you can't back that up with virus name, AV engine and update version, don't post post slanderous remarks.

As IA pointed out, there would be hundreds of complaints.

Every pack is run through multiple AV programs before posting.

That was the last mod i put on before it crashed and i didnt fiddle with the computer after that. As soon as i logged on, went onto loco and the welcome screen wouldnt come up... Any answers to that, then?~

As Plastik pointed if it was a virus then it wouldn't just effect your locomotion, if would effect your whole PC.

You haven't mention where loco crashes, is it in the checking objdata part? or is it when the game goes full screen? is it when you try to load a savegame or scenario?

If its the first then it sounds like you have had a corrupt download, which happens. It does not mean that the file contained a virus, just means the connection between your computer and the AMI server went a bit pear shaped and bits of data were missing. In future, and i'm sure I speak from all at AMI, please try and find out what happened rather than coming directly to the forum and saying that AMI is infecting your computer with a virus.

I wasnt saying that it was ami as it downloaded fine. Probably just a dodgy install as my computer runs on xp but wasnt originally on xp!

And i made it myself from about 10 other computers!

I think you'll find you contradicted yourself there, sonny jim. I think you owe all at AMI an apology.

You have to realise that its essentially unfair to accuse people that have spent many hours of their lives on giving you something for nothing of doing something for which you have no evidence. Not clever.

Its also not clever to upset someone that has monopoly power.
